Le Murate Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC is a fresh and aromatic wine that comes from the heart of Abruzzo, in the hilly Teramo area, at an altitude of 250-300 meters above sea level. The vineyards, which range in age from 15 to 35 years, are planted in calcareous-clayey soils of medium texture, perfect for enhancing the characteristics of the grape variety. The planting density varies between 1,600 and 5,000 plants per hectare, ensuring high-quality grapes.
The harvest takes place in the first decade of October, with careful selection that respects the natural rhythm of the vine. In the cellar, the winemaking process begins with a cold maceration for 24 hours, allowing for the extraction of fresh, fruity aromas. The free-run juice is then separated and fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures (12°-13°C) for 30 to 40 days, a practice that preserves the aromatic potential of the wine.
The Cerasuolo "Le Murate" matures for 3 months in stainless steel tanks, gaining elegance and finesse. The bottle aging, lasting one month, completes the process, giving the wine balance and harmony.
In the glass, "Le Murate" Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo presents a bright rosé color with a fresh and intense bouquet of red fruits like cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, accompanied by delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with a pleasant acidity that makes it highly drinkable, yet with a well-defined structure and a clean, persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany seafood dishes, vegetable-based appetizers, or light pasta dishes, Cerasuolo "Le Murate" is the ideal wine for those seeking an authentic and refined experience of the Abruzzo territory.
